Senior Volunteer Program


The Senior Volunteer Program provides services to the eldlerly and disabled through means of enrichment activities and transportation.  The programs provide seniors the opportunity to engage in physical and mental activities as well as provide healthy fellowship with other seniors.  Seniors enjoy the benefits of participating in the following: Health & Wellness Classes, Recreation, Enrichment Classes and Transportation. 

The Senior Volunteer Program operates at the G. W. Henderson, Sr. Recreation Center on Tuesday and Thursday and Dundee Community Center on Monday and Wednesday from 10 am - 2 pm and offers exercise class, shuffleboard, computer, bingo, history class, knitting and cultural arts to those who are interested. Transportation is available for the Senior Volunteer Program.

Transportation is available for the elderly and disabled who are independent or in need of assistance to travel to various locations to run errands such as grocery shopping, bill paying, banking, post office visit, in-town Doctor visit, etc.    Transportation is also extended to transport individuals to  appointments in Clarksdale, Southaven, Memhis TN and the surrounding areas. Individuals must be elderly or disabled to qualify for the program.
